Can I Be A Director Of Another Company If I Liquidate My Current One?
“Can I Be A Director Of Another Company If I Liquidate My Current One?”
So in normal circumstances, the answer is yes you can – you can be a director of another company now or in the future. There are occasions where ASIC will ban an individual as a director, and I think that’s fair enough. If someone has been a director of a number of failed companies, or done immoral or irresponsible things, I think there is certainly a case for that director to be banned. However, most people who liquidate a business have not done it out of malicious intent, hopefully learn from their mistakes, and go on to be a director of another far more successful business.
